Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Detail Zone Melbourne. These Terms & Conditions govern all dashcam supply and installation services provided by us. By proceeding with our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. Services Provided

Detail Zone Melbourne specialises in:

  • Supply of dashcams and related accessories
  • Professional dashcam installation services

We are an Authorised BlackVue Dealer & Installer, ensuring all BlackVue products supplied by us are genuine Australian stock with full local support and warranty.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services at any time without prior notice.

2. Booking & Scheduling

Appointments:
Bookings can be made via phone, online, or in person.

Deposits:
A deposit is required to secure all installation bookings. This deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.

Cancellations & Rescheduling:
Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 6 hours’ notice.

No-Show / Late Cancellation:
Failure to attend a scheduled booking or cancellations made within 6 hours will result in the deposit being forfeited.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are in AUD and include GST unless stated otherwise
  • Accepted payment methods: EFTPOS and bank transfer
  • Full payment is required upon completion of the service

Additional Charges:
Additional costs may apply depending on:

  • Vehicle type or complexity
  • Non standard installation requirements
  • Additional accessories or labour

Customers will always be informed prior to proceeding.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Vehicle Condition:
Customers must ensure the vehicle is in suitable condition for installation. We are not responsible for issues caused by:

  • Pre-existing electrical faults
  • Aftermarket modifications
  • Faulty wiring or prior installations

Product Responsibility:
If supplying your own dashcam, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring compatibility with your vehicle
  • Providing all required components

We are not liable for issues arising from customer-supplied products.

Access & Information:
Customers must provide accurate vehicle details and ensure access at the scheduled time.

5. New Vehicle & Warranty-Safe Installation

We take extra care when working on new vehicles, including those with advanced electrical systems (e.g. hybrid, EV, and modern CANBUS systems).

  • Installations are completed using safe fuse integration methods
  • We do not use OBD connections unless specifically requested
  • We aim to maintain vehicle warranty integrity at all times

However, as vehicle manufacturers may have differing policies, customers are responsible for confirming warranty implications with their vehicle manufacturer or dealer if required.

6. Limitation of Liability

Detail Zone Melbourne is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing faults or damage within the vehicle
  • Manufacturer defects or failures of the dashcam
  • Issues arising after installation not related to workmanship
  • Battery-related issues due to parking mode usage

Liability is strictly limited to installation workmanship.

7. Warranty

Installation Warranty:
We provide a 12 month workmanship warranty on all dashcam installations.

Product Warranty (BlackVue):
BlackVue dashcams supplied by us include:

  • 2 Year Manufacturer Warranty (Australia)
  • Extended to 3 Years when the product is registered online via the BlackVue website using the serial number and QR code provided

Customers are responsible for completing registration to activate the extended warranty.

Other Brands:
Non BlackVue products are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties.

8. Battery & Parking Mode Disclaimer

Vehicles using parking mode may experience battery drain depending on usage, battery health, and vehicle type.
Detail Zone Melbourne is not responsible for battery performance or failures related to dashcam operation.

9. Privacy

We handle all personal information in accordance with Australian privacy laws.
Customer data is used solely for service-related purposes.

11. Intellectual Property

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any disputes will be handled within Victorian jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
